At Jenniflowers we reflect the melting pot of diversity that is London. It's exciting, challenging and a continual learning curve, as we have team members join us from other countries, speaking other languages and introducing us to their home country foods and customs. Many of our families come from countries abroad and English is often a second/third language.
We work together with our parents to make their child feel at home in our settings by speaking their language in a colloquial way every day eg: During our circle time saying 'hello' in Polish one day and then counting to 10 in French the next day. Our children who are English speakers are learning about other languages and customs, hairstyles and homes... and the children who come from another culture are also learning too, as well as improving their English every day.
We are all-inclusive in meeting the needs of our children, irrespective of religion, social or economic background, gender, ability/disability, or English being an additional language, promoting Christian and British core values. We provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment for our children to wonder, discover, grow and become life long learners.
